This was just a notice that went out to everyone.
The actual “bill” won’t go out until August 15th, when this is implemented. (Mine would be a lot more than $9 as another user posted, as I am not as lean-n-mean…)

Action Required to Avoid $xxx in Long-Term Storage Fees
Amazon Selling Coach firstname.lastname@example.org to bobwilley
In May we communicated by e-mail to all Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) sellers about FBA’s Long-Term Storage program which will take effect on August 15, 2011. On that date, and each six months thereafter, FBA will conduct an Inventory Cleanup, at which time inventory that has been in our fulfillment centers for 365 days or more will be assessed an upfront, annual Long-Term Storage Fee of $45.00 per cubic foot. To provide additional flexibility to maintain your unique selection, one Unit of each applicable product ASIN will be exempted from the annual Long-Term Storage Fee. Please note, FBA accounts for inventory on a FIFO (first-in-first-out) basis.
As of July 26, 2011, you have xxx Units of inventory that will have been in our fulfillment centers for 365 days or more on August 15th for which you will be charged $xxx, unless you submit a request to remove them (or they sell) before that date. To see a list of this inventory, as well as to begin the removal process, you can click here (Seller Central login required) to view the Recommended Removals Report.
The data shown in this report is the authoritative source that displays what Units of inventory should be removed to avoid Long-Term Storage fee charges on August 15th. Through August 15th, the per-unit fee to have inventory over 270 days old returned to you is $0.20 per-Unit including shipping ($0.40 including shipping for Oversize Units), or you can have us dispose of the inventory Units for no charge.
If you need any help having your inventory returned to you or disposed of, please contact our Seller Support team using the Contact us in your Seller Account.
